In an exciting and hard-fought match, the Wheatley Varsity Volleyball team defeated a tenacious Island Trees team to earn the Nassau County Championship crown for the second consecutive year! The girls earned this victory in a four-game set, 25-16, 28-26, 21-25, 25-19. Congratulations to the athletes and coach Tom Greely!
The team will play for the Long Island Championship on Sunday, 11 November at 3:00 pm at SUNY Farmingdale.

Our Girls Volleyball Team is having an outstanding season. Last Friday’s 3-0 victory over Cold Spring Harbor lifted its record to 13-1 overall, 13-0 in the conference!

In a tense match against perennial powerhouse Seaford, the Wheatley Girls Volleyball team battled to a 3-0 match victory! In doing so, they earned the Nassau County Class B Championship Crown!
Playing fiercely yet loosly, the girls rallied from behind at times and never gave up!

The girls will play for the Long Island Championship on Saturday, 11 November at 1:30 pm at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood. Go Wildcats!
Our Homecoming Weekend kicked off with our Pep Rally on Friday afternoon and a number of games today. One of the early games was our Girls JV Volleyball team, which defeated Sewanhaka in straight sets.
Earlier this evening, our Wheatley Girls Volleyball team began the playoff defense of its Nassau County Championship Crown. Its first match, played at Wheatley’s gymnasium, was a tough match agains W.T. Clarke High School. In a tough match, the teams alternated game victories, with the Wildcats coming out on top in the final decisive game! With the victory, the Wildcats move on to the semifinal round of the playoffs!
After the Wheatley Girls Volleyball team captured the Nassau County Class C Championship on Tuesday, its next destination was the Long Island Championship game against Mattituck High School at Suffolk Community College. Unfortunately, the team’s championship run came to an end earlier today when they lost three hard-fought sets.
Despite their loss, the team has much to celebrate. The team had a terrific season and it earned the first county Volleyball Championship in Wheatley history! Congratulations on a great season!
