Meet our 2022 PTO Recognition Students!

The penultimate award given during the Academic Awards Evening is the PTO Student Recognition award.

The purpose of this award is to recognize two deserving seniors who exhibit the qualities we value and encourage in our young people:

  • Kindness, respect, and tolerance for self, others and the environment
  • Good judgment and decision making
  • High ethical standards and character
  • Sincerity
  • Dignity
  • Courage to overcome obstacles
  • Good citizenship
  • Dependability and helpfulness

These awards are supported by our wonderful Wheatley PTO. Here is what was said about this year’s recipients, Gabriel Fallarino and Charlotte Iannone:

Gabe Fallarino

Our first recipient has an absolutely amazing personality: kind-hearted, compassionate and warm. Referring to him as a humble young man is truly an understatement, for he always puts others’ needs before his own.

His teachers have expressed that he is an absolute pleasure to work with: sincere and motivated, with a thirst to learn. Both inside and outside the classroom, he is a true team player.

A natural athlete, he has been involved in varsity soccer, baseball, and basketball. As the heart of these teams, he serves as a motivator and an optimist. In sum, he is one of the most balanced and positive students at Wheatley.

On behalf of the Wheatley PTO, it gives me great joy to present the PTO Recognition Award to Gabe Fallarino.

Charlotte Iannone

Kind and reserved by nature, our second recipient has a way of relating to individuals and academic material on deeper levels. She has made her mark at Wheatley through her incredible involvement and leadership of so many of our co-curricular activities.

Although engaged simultaneously in many activities, she treats each one as a priority,  contributing as a thoughtful participant and leader.  The entire school community recognizes her as a talented academic and essential leader who is respected by peers and faculty alike.

Exceptionally inquisitive, she learned at a young age to relate her coursework to the world at large.

Please join us in congratulating Charlotte Iannone as the second recipient of the PTO Recognition Award.
