Over the past two weeks, members of the Student Senate spearheaded a donation drive to help support humanitarian relief in Ukraine. Items collected included:
- Personal Care Items (Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Mouthwash, Toothbrushes, Soap Bars, Hand Sanitizers, Feminine Hygiene Products, Shampoo/Conditioner, Deodorants, Razor/Shaving Cream)
- Household Items (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Wet Wipes/Baby Wipes, Baby Diapers, Microwaves, Pots and Pans, New Sheets, Pillowcases)
- Medical Items (Band-Aids, Gauze, Alcohol/Disinfectant Wipes, Boxes of Masks)
- Miscellaneous (Hand Warmers, Flashlights, Nail Clippers, Hairbrushes, Shopping Totes/Bags)
The community response to the drive was incredible! Each day, members of the Student Senate worked to organize and pack the donated supplies. The collected items were brought to the Nassau County drop-off location last week.
Thank you to Dr. Allison Warner (our Student Senate Advisor) and Ms. Caterina Fox for their help in coordinating this activity!
