#Showdown2019 Day 1 Kicks off What Promises to be a Spirited Competition!

On this first day of Showdown2019, each class came out with plenty of vim and vigor—all with the hope of having its name engraved on the Showdown Trophy! With a guaranteed new winner of this year’s Showdown, each class sensed an opportunity for victory.

On Day 1, the classes competed in the following activities:

  • WSTV Trivia (History edition)
  • PJ Day
  • Lego building contest
  • Simon competition
  • Ping Pong

Additionally, students participated in our Coins v Bills competition, our Book Fairies collection, a school supplies collection and a sneaker donation.

During the morning trivia competition, John Scudero came on strong to steamroll the competition and lead the seniors to an overwhelming victory over the other classes.

The Lego Building competition was won by the 12th grade, followed by the 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th grade!

The Ping Pong competition was won by the 9th grade, although junior Zach Yakubovich was the individual victor. The 9th grade was followed by the 11th, 12th, 8th and 10th grade.
