One of the long-standing traditions of our Day of Service and Learning has been the making of sandwiches for The INN, one of Long Island’s most important advocates for those in need. Over the years, we have made thousands and thousands of sandwiches, switching (last year) from PB&J to Ham and Cheese sandwiches.
During this year’s 9th Annual Day of Service and Learning, we made 1,133 ham and cheese sandwiches — all delivered to the INN at the end of the day. (The sandwiches can be frozen for later distribution.) This would not have been possible without the incredible support of our Wheatley PTO!
A huge “Thank You” to Suzanne Gluck, Alexis Pace, Robert Teseo and Janna Varela for supervising and organizing this activity!
