Wheatley students Sam and Lainey provided the following report of Day 3 in Peru!
Today we had an amazing experience. We started off by taking the train from Cusco to Machu Picchu. We then began our hiking endeavors by hiking to the Inca temples and touring the ceremonial grounds. This was followed by a tough hike to the Incan bridge. This hike boasted amazing views as well as amazing wildlife such as llamas. After hiking down we shopped in the market an purchased traditional Peruvian products such as sweaters made from alpaca. Finally we ate some dinner and headed back home on the train. While the hiking was tiring, today was an amazing and fun day.
What is not included in this update is that there was a “Promposal” at the top of Machu Picchu, as Jeffrey asked Anusha to go to prom with him!
Thanks to the students for the update and the photos!
