On Tuesday, 28 March, French students in Mr. Henley’s classes took a trip to the A La Carte Cooking School in Lynbrook in order to make different French food specialities.
Students were first instructed on safety rules for the kitchen. Then each recipe for all parts of our meal was introduced and explained. Students prepared and enjoyed:
- Salade niçoise
- Gougères (Gruyère cheese puffs)
- Poulet aux fines herbes
- Pissaladière (onion tart)
- Crêpes Nutella
It was a great opportunity to delve into French culture and practice language skills at the same time!
