It looked like it was going to be the Wildcats’s day! Goalie Zach Jacob had an outstanding save on a penalty kick near the end of the first half, and Alec Marcus had a terrific goal midway through the second half. Unfortunately, a late goal by Carle Place in regulation and then an overtime goal with 9:50 left in the first OT period gave Carle Place the victory. As such, Carle Place repeats as Nassau County Champions and advances to the Long Island Championship game.
Although the loss was difficult to take, the boys played hard throughout the game and gave the numerous fans a wonderful game to watch. Congratulations to the boys on a terrific season.
