Students help to Stop Hunger Now During our Day of Service!

For the second year in a row, one of the activities during our Day of Service and Learning was the Stop Hunger Now meal packaging program. As part of this service activity, students were introduced to the importance of providing high protein, highly nutritious meals that can be used in a crisis situation or in other family feeding programs. An organizer from Stop Hunger Now brought all of the supplies to Wheatley, prepared the students for their work, and then led them in a full-out effort to package 10,000 meals!

Thank you to Mindie Schwartz, Gail Leibert, Susan Vasselman and Erik Larsen for their support leading the students in this activity!
