This year’s third annual Wheatley’s Got Talent competition needed to be rescheduled due to a snowstorm last February, but it was worth the wait! Last night’s evening showcased an incredible array of students and talents. Organized by Wheatley’s Tri-M Music Honor Society and hosted by seniors Sienna Brancato and Alexa Kamberg, this evening impressed all in attendance with the range of talents exhibited by our students.
With the assistance of our three celebrity judges (Mr. Paulson, Mrs. Stein and Mr. Haig), eight performance acts were evaluated, with three finalists performing a second time — with the winner being determined by the audience vote.
The competitors were:
- Sumu Pitchayan (Guitar)
- Adeel Anwar (Violin)
- Joy Bestourous and Nick Vazquez (Voice)
- JESH (Jessica, Emily, Saman and Hallie) (Music Group)
- Allie Giordano (Dance)
- Kay and Kavina Amin (Voice)
- Max Hochstein (Dance)
- Justin Vega (Violin and Loop)
While we awaited the results of the evening, we were entertained by last year’s Wheatley’s Got Talent winners, Jeffrey and Michael Roudbai!
At the end of the evening, Justin Vega was declared winner of this year’s Wheatley’s Got Talent! Congratulations to Justin, and a huge “Thank You” to Angela Luftig and our Tri-M Music Honor Society for organizing this wonderful event!
