Last Thursday evening marked Wheatley’s 4th annual Science Olympiad Night. Over 100 students attended this lively and challenging evening of scientific inquiry. This year’s events included: Chemistry Lab, Forensics, Disease Detectives (with a focus on recent disease outbreaks), Experimental Design (this year, the students had to design a lab experiment related to parachutes), and of course, the crowd favorite: Write It, Do it.
Although this is a friendly competition, the students come to these events with the hopes of earning a coveted spot at the top! Results and winners will be announced later this week!
A big “Thank You” to our Science Research Coordinator, Alexis Blondrage, for the photos and the writeup. Thanks as well to members of the science department for their help and support in preparing for this very successful evening!
