AP Core Students Enjoy the Sites and History of Washington, D.C.!

Our AP Core program is a multi-disciplinary approach to English, U.S. History and Social Science Research. Taken in the 11th Grade, the program is designed to lead students to the Advanced Placement examinations in US History and in English Language. The program also guides students through the National History Day competition.

To kick off the year, teachers accompanied students to Washington, DC for three days of sightseeing and bonding. From Thursday through Saturday, students had an opportunity to enjoy the many cultural and historical landmarks of Washington. Along the way, they even encountered our SWS program, which was on a similar trip to DC this weekend!

The trip was supervised by Dr. Staudt, Mr. McKenna, Mr. Ardito, Ms. Blondrage and Ms. Gurick!
