Construction on a New School Begins in 1955 #TBT

After district voters approved the 1954 purchase of 60 acres of land for the new home of the East Williston Junior-Senior High School, plans for the new school were approved and preparation of the land began. Construction was well on its way by the time the school received its official name in December 1955: The Wheatley School.

Here are a few pictures from the first few months of construction.
