Students and Teachers Celebrate Thanksgiving with a Homemade Meal!

Students in our Life Skills program spent this week getting ready for their big Thanksgiving Feast! Working with their teachers, the students planned the menu, purchased the food items and cooked the food. They even enlisted faculty members to bring in their own specialty items! As a result, the students and their invited guests were able to enjoy a delicious meal of turkey, stuffing, salad, corn pudding, cranberry sauce, rolls and sweet potato pie!

As part of the Thanksgiving feast, students were asked to share some of the things for which they are thankful!

At Wheatley, we are certainly thankful for the wonderful experiences our Life Skills students and program bring to the school community! We are thankful for Ms. Laurino and all of the faculty who work with her to make this such a special program!
