Girls Varsity Soccer Earns Nassau Championship!

After the team’s victory in the Nassau County semifinal game on Thursday night, the Wheatley Girls Varsity Soccer Team played for the Nassau County Championship against a strong Cold Spring Harbor Team yesterday at Adelphi University. The game featured tenacious play by the girls, with exceptional defense — not to mention the impressive goaltending of 8th Grader Sydney Silverman — sealing the victory in the final 20 minutes of play. The single first half goal by Hannah Woodward was sufficient for Wheatley to secure the 1-0 victory. You can read more about the game at

The girls play at Dowling College for the Long Island Championship on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm against Port Jefferson. Go Wildcats!
