On a cold and wet Saturday night, Wheatley’s Boys Varsity Soccer team defeated Oyster Bay, 2-0. It was a tight match that featured goals in the waning minutes of each half. Wheatley’s Brandon Goldberg put one in the back of the net to put Wheatley up, 1-0. The Oyster Bay team played tough, threatening to score on many occasions. With just under 7 minutes remaining in the game, however, Wheatley’s Josh Bergsohn scored the second goal of the game, effectively sealing the victory.
The conditions were rough, but the Wheatley fans still showed up to cheer on their team to victory!
