EWSD Students Participate in the Town of North Hempstead Anti-Bullying Walk!

On Saturday May 31st, a group of 21 Wheatley and Willets students attended the second annual Town of North Hempstead Anti-Bullying Walk. Two Wheatley sophomore students, Alexa Kamberg and Samantha Cumming, served of the organizing committee and did an excellent job of creating an informative and thoughtful event. While walking, our path was lined with signs providing bullying statistics and inspiring quotes. The walk culminated with presentations from town leaders and students as well as break out groups so that this important topic could be discussed more thoroughly. There were even musical performances from a number of students, including our own Morgan Misk. The participants left the event inspired to do their part to end bullying.

Thank you to Mr. Greg Wasserman for providing the description and photo of this terrific event!
