Students Compete in Physics Olympics

On Friday, Mr. Adam Plana led five Wheatley physics students to the Long Island Physics Olympics at SUNY Farmingdale. Competing in events such as “Pendulum of Doom” and “Marshmallow Challenge,” the spirited competition seeks to put the “fun” back into physics.

Our Wheatley students performed admirably at the event, earning second place in the Marshmallow Challenge and third place in the Collision Car event. Congratulations to the students and thanks to Mr. Plana for taking them to the competition!
