Madison Misk (Class of 2016) was just recognized for her winning essay in the annual Veterans of Foreign Wars “Voice of Democracy” contest. Although Madison won for last year’s contest, a logistical error delayed her formal recognition until earlier today. Madison earned a certificate of recognition along with an award check.
Students from across the country submit essays related to an annual theme. Madison’s essay addressed the topic from the 2012-13 year: “Is the Constitution Still Relevant.” Congratulations to Madison for her terrific work! Thank you to our local VFW Post for sponsoring the program and to Mr. Haig for working with his students on the program!
