Each year, Wheatley’s Tri-M Honor Society puts on a competition to showcase the many singing and performance talents of our student body. After a series of rigorous auditions, ten competitors are selected to perform for an audience packed with students and family members. After the first round of performances, the “celebrity judges” select three performers to continue to the audience voting round. Ultimately, it is the votes of the audience that determine the winner of Wheatley Idol.
This year’s competition took place on Friday night, and it certainly did not disappoint those looking for an evening of wonderful entertainment. This year’s winner was eleventh grader Joanne Joshua.
