Wheatley’s Dialogue Nights are wonderful opportunities for adults and teens to discuss issues of importance to the lives of teenagers. In a safe and supportive environment, issues such as cheating, drinking, drugs, gambling and sexuality have been discussed over the years. For this year’s first Dialogue Night, we dug deeper into the recent Anderson Cooper 360° Special Report on bullying.
We were fortunate to be joined by the producers of the CNN special: Chuck Hadad and Kerry Rubin. In addition to presenting a special video greeting by Anderson Cooper — who was busy hosting the Republican presidential debate in Las Vegas — the producers took open questions from members of the audience.
After the open question session, small group discussions centered on reflections on the CNN pieces (that were shown at the beginning) andsteps that Wheatley could take to address issues of concern.
