Dr. Staudt Presents at LICSS Conference

Wheatley is fortunate to have faculty members who are engaged in their professional organizations and often called upon to present at conferences and meetings. On October 17, Dr. John Staudt, member of our Social Studies department, presented at the thirty-first annual conference of the Long Island Council for Social Studies (LICSS).

Dr. Staudt’s presentation at the conference was entitled, “Getting Students to Think Deliberatively about Current Issues and Past Historical Events.” This is an area on which Dr. Staudt focuses extensively in his AP United States History Core course as well as his College Regional Studies course.
